In what way does Rotary benefit our community?
The Rotary Clubs of Wisconsin rapids are committed
to Wisconsin Rapids and Wood County through the participation of their
members
on local community
and corporate boards and in various community organizations and activities.
As a Rotary Club, the following activities and organizations are supported
by the active involvement of the membership in various activities:
- YMCA
- Scouting
- Community Foundation of south Wood County
- Badger Boys State
- Boys and Girls Club
- United Way of South Wood County
- Riverview Hospital Association
- Local Scholarships
What is expected of Rotary members?
The obligations of a Rotarian include:
- A personal commitment to the guiding principles of Rotary.
- Rotarians are expected to attend weekly luncheon
meetings. The Noon Rotary Club of Wisconsin Rapids meets on Mondays
at 11:45 am. The Morning Rotary club meets on Thursdays at 7:00 am.
- Rotarians are expected to attend a minimum of 60% of the meetings.
Members are encouraged to make up missed meetings (two weeks before
or after the missed meeting) at other Rotary Clubs worldwide for which
they are given credit for attendance and missed meals.
- Rotarians are expected to serve the club on committees and participate
in club and district projects.
